About
CruzanVibes is a dynamic, multi-talented band founded by a 43-year veteran Bass player, Solo Steeldrum player, and Vocalist who was born and raised in St. Croix, a US Virgin Island. After relocating to Southwest Florida over 22 years ago, the founder helped his father and bandmates perform as the Southwest Florida Steeldrum Band, and later as Caribbean Stars. Rooted in a deep family tradition of steeldrum music, the founder learned the craft from his father alongside his siblings. In 1993, he formed his own Reggae band called Island Sound, which later evolved into Island Sound Reggae Steeldrum Band. In late 2008, CruzanVibes was officially formed, carrying on the family legacy with the founder's two younger brothers, Harold and Michael, now playing steeldrums for the band. CruzanVibes is known for its incredible versatility, covering genres from Reggae and Calypso to Oldies, R&B, Funk, Motown, and more. Every member plays an instrument and most are vocalists as well. Wherever CruzanVibes performs, they captivate crowds and keep everyone dancing until the very end — a testament to their passion and dedication to their craft.
