Art of Flowers is a boutique floral design studio in Weston, Florida, led by internationally trained designer Teresa Waite. With over 20 years of experience and training across Europe, Japan, and China, Teresa creates unique, high-style floral arrangements for weddings and special events.

Some artists work with paint, others with pencil or pastels. Teresa Waite works with flowers. Each and every floral design she creates at Art of Flowers is a work of art. Teresa has been in the floral industry for over 20 years, traveling the world to learn about exotic flowers and international floral design before opening Art of Flowers in Weston, Florida. She earned a certificate in floral design from expert Chuck Bannow at his Floral Design School in Michigan. With a thirst for more knowledge, she moved to Europe, first studying under a private teacher in Frankfurt, Germany, to learn traditional European styles including hand-tied bouquets, then attending the City and Guilds Institute floral program in England where she learned abstract European designs using natural materials, as well as the history and meaning of flowers. From England she moved to Tokyo, Japan to study Japanese Ikebana design under a floral specialist, learning Zen designs and the Asian meaning and styles of flowers for Japan, India, and China. She then moved to Shanghai, China, where she taught floral design and decorated prestigious hotels such as the Portman Ritz Carlton Shanghai. Upon returning to the USA, Teresa and her family settled in Weston, Florida, drawn by its international, culturally rich community. Born in Colombia, South America, and fluent in both English and Spanish, Teresa is frequently asked to represent the Colombian Floral Growers Association at international trade shows to exhibit her global high-style designs.
